We're excited to announce SERUM G, our latest formula engineered specifically for extended, sustained effects. Green vein kratom has long been popular for its balanced profile, but never before has it been subjected to the same scientific refinement we've applied to our red and white strains.
SERUM G launches for public availability next month. Today, we're sharing the extraction methodology that makes this formula special.
Why Green Vein?
Green vein kratom occupies a unique position in the kratom family:
- More potent than white vein (which is harvested earlier)
- More balanced than red vein (which is typically more sedating)
- Rich in both mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine
- Traditionally used for sustained, all-day effects
However, green vein's reputation for quality varies wildly depending on harvest timing, processing, and storage. Many green vein products on the market are merely convenient classifications of average-quality material.
SERUM G changes that equation.
The Enhanced Extraction Protocol
Green vein alkaloid profiles are slightly different from our white and red varieties. The optimization requires adjusted parameters:
Extended Soak Period
Where SERUM W uses a 48-hour ethanol extraction, SERUM G employs 72 hours. Green vein material requires longer contact time with the ethanol solvent to achieve complete alkaloid extraction.
This extended period allows slower-extracting compounds to come into solution, resulting in a more complete alkaloid spectrum.
Modified Temperature Curve
Rather than holding a constant 130°F during precipitation, SERUM G follows a temperature curve:
- 0-30 minutes: 125°F (gradual alkaloid precipitation begins)
- 30-120 minutes: 130°F (main precipitation phase)
- 120-180 minutes: 128°F (stabilization phase, reducing excess energy)
This curve mimics natural cooling patterns and appears to improve alkaloid stability during the transition to crystalline form.
pH Precision
While SERUM W uses a mild organic acid, SERUM G uses a buffered acid solution maintained at a specific pH range (3.2-3.4). This narrower range ensures consistent precipitation kinetics batch to batch.
Expected Alkaloid Profile
Based on preliminary HPLC analysis of our first production runs:
- Mitragynine: 16-20% (slightly lower than white, but still substantial)
- 7-hydroxymitragynine: 1.4-1.9% (higher concentration than white)
- Speciogynine: 10-14% (elevated compared to red)
- Paynantheine: 7-11%
- Speciociliatine: 5-9%
This combination creates a balanced profile ideal for all-day use without excessive intensity.
Dosing and Timing
SERUM G is approximately 12x more concentrated than traditional green powder (slightly less than SERUM W due to lower base alkaloid content in green vein material).
Recommended starting dose: 0.3-0.6ml
Effects typically appear within 45-60 minutes, peak at 3-4 hours, and sustain for 7-9 hours—longer than SERUM W, making it ideal for all-day dosing.
